We have to partner with our customer against stake in the business. Our role in partnership will be App development and support. What is ideal platform to find customers who are looking for this? How to approach them?
It's not selecting the right platform that will make your business succeed. It's communicating your value.
I can think of thousands of instances where entrepreneurs are looking for a service like yours, so finding them won't be difficult. Convincing them that you're the right partner will be difficult.
Before you start offering your service, you need to do a lot of work on your marketing strategy. List, test, and validate your assumptions. Profile your likely customer personas. Develop and test approaches for each persona. Refine your message so it is crystal clear. Understand the decision-making process that will be involved and be prepared to walk customers through each stage with confidence.
No one can hand you the answers. This is the fundamental research any business needs to do to understand its total addressable market and then to find the service addressable market within that larger segment.
You may have chosen to keep your question simple, but the service you're proposing is highly complex. It will require very carefully planned options, especially because you're asking to take an ownership stake in someone's very personally important business. Don't be cavalier, build iron-clad trust.
Depends on what kinds of expertise you have in app development. Do you develop FinTech, Health, Social, Games, or ...? Your customers are going to be getting their information from very different sources. If you try to market to all of them, you will market to none. Pick one. Learn about the space. Learn where your prospects gather, and who they rely upon for their information & expertise. Then join the conversation, and demonstrate how you have performed for other clients like them in the past.
If you are any good, they will be interested. If you are not, they will ignore you.
