How much traction/downloads does an dating app need to monitize? How about enough engagement? I would love to hear feedback on this. Thanks!
Ask yourself, what will keep people actively using my APP?
What would keep me engaged on the APP if I downloaded it?
To sell the APP, you gotta not only get people but retain them. If you APP can do this, you'll make money. Then you'll know if you're making money or not
hello Dale, it depends on the size of your target market. We are a Software development agency at the same time a MVP Startup Villa in the Philippines. If you have an IDEA, feel free to visit our Website: www.startupoasis.co
That's not really a question anyone outside your niche can answer. Your users are the ones who are going to find or not find value in (presumably your) dating app. If they don't think the pool of potential matches is sufficiently large, they will stop using the app quickly. If the features aren't worthwhile, they will uninstall. If no one is paying for premium access, you haven't delivered sufficient benefits.
What's the norm for how often other dating app users login? How does yours compare? How long did others spend building the early access audience before they reached a critical mass?
Because it's a social science subject, analytical answers are probably out there too, not just competitor data. What does your research say? We're not a useful source for this narrow niche data.
If the only goal of the application is monetization, then a lot of money on such an application does not work. You need about 10000 downloads per week, but in order to monetize the application you need to make sure that the user continues to use the application and not just delete the application in a few seconds.
dating apps are hot in North America, recently there are lots of them on the market. so competitive is very stiff. Just go on organic growth, then take up a line like 1million downloads, can i get 1 million fund? bcz now a days the VC got an insight like cash is been spend just to get downloads. So keep going naturally and you will get fund, if the app is good
Honestly, it depends a lot on your monetization strategy. If you are using ads, then it depends on your CPI or CPM. You will also be compromising app experience. This strategy will require a lot of downloads to start monetizing. It is better to develop a freemium model where you can organize blind dates or social events. This way you will increase user engagement and people will use your app repeatedly.
