What is the best resource to find early-stage VCs/Angel investors interested in consumer brands?

What is the best way to connect with VCs and Angel investors that have an interest in consumer lifestyle brands?  My understanding is that they have overcome their prior reluctance to get involved in these sectors and I wanted to know if they have become more organized.  Any help would be appreciated.
Too many founders wing it when it comes to financials; they have no idea how to explain them to investors. In this course, we’ll teach you how to build a basic financial model; read financial statements; and understand cash flow, balance sheets, and income statements.

Hi Gloria,  where is the company, geographically?  I know, in this day and age it seems silly to ask "where" a company is. But many angel groups and seed stage investors still adhere to a regional focus. For example, if you are in SoCal you might try Tech Coast Angels or Pasadena Angels. In Seattle, perhaps Puget Sound Venture Club or Seraphim, etc, etc.  The national lists like angel.co are useful, but in order to get real traction there you need a deal lead, and that usually means someone local who you meet and pitch in person.

Quite a few VCs focus on the consumer sector - www.upriseventures.com for example.

Check out www.zagtree.com - no clue if it's worth it, but just received an email from them.

Look at NY Angels or Golden Seeds albeit I don't know if lifestyle is currently in their wheelhouse. Also do a search on Crunchbase - you may have to pay for a premium account to hone the search criteria - to identify groups that have funded companies in or around your vertical. Best of luck!

Thanks to all.

Mike, I am here on the east coast, if that helps.  I appreciate your thoughts.
