What is the best way to advertise on your mobile app?

I am preparing slide decks for my traveltech app and an obvious area for monetizing is advertising.  What is the best way to go about selling advertising on your app - is Google AdMob the place to go or are there other ad networks/ agencies that I should be looking at?

Although, in-app ads is a really good idea of monetization, it's not the only one. Speaking about advertising platforms, I think AdMob, UnityAD and Avazu are the best. You can also have a look this for a full list and this to know how apps can be monetize beside from ads.

Apologies for the delayed response. The options for ad monetization in apps are incredibly varied and new companies and products are popping up all the time.

Your options will depend on the structure of your app, how you engage your audience, content makeup target demographic to name but a few.

Are you looking for programmatic demand? Direct sales? What's more important to you, fill or CPM?

Sorry to bombard you with questions, but mobile advertising is a very crowded and complex field and the right choices can affect your revenue and audience retention significantly.

I am also looking for insight into using more unique methods of advertising on in-vehicle display screens tied to web-accessed servers (and possibly some method more unique than just uploading advertiser content) to display ads to a captive audience in the vehicle. Intent is to be able to demonstrate to advertisers the benefits of buying into such a system and thus monetizing the platform - what would be the minimum number of devices that will need to be setup (translates into no of vehicles) and what unique ad monetization methods / teams / systems / advisors are needed to be brought on board to enable the system be executed
