What is the best way to be a technology partner?

Depends on what your past experience is. Try using the connections to get some business and then keep looking for referrals through these clients. It's a long journey, but that's how it starts and then you have snowball effect as it gets bigger.

What first comes to mind is trade by barter.

First, consider what services or products you have to offer. Then consider prospective clients who have a service or product you need, or can leverage on. Such clients should also need a service or product that you offer. Then you can offer to make a trade for something they have, with something you have.

An example could be a printing press partnering with a logistics company. The logistics company can handle shipping and delivery of bulk printing orders for the printing press. In return, the logistics company gets printed materials (business cards, fliers, etc.) equivalent to the cost of shipping for the printing press.

This is the first thing that comes to mind. Ponder on it, and expand it according. And good luck!

Was going to answer the mobile editor is so horrendously bad I'm nearly done with cofounderslab. Suffice iit to say there is no magic place ... Just perfect your elevator pitch and pitch to everyone you meet. Don't get discouraged... Just remember it takes on average 7 no's to get to a yes. If your odds are better thathan then you're playing it too safe and you need to get outside your comfort zone.
