Particularly for someone that has not taken the leap of faith yet and that is looking at all the disruption that is happening from the sidelines.
A great idea is 1% of the work. Execution is the other 99%. In this course, we’ll teach you how to conduct market analysis, create an MVP and pivot (if needed), launch your business, survey customers, iterate your product/service based on feedback, and gain traction quickly.

I'd start by making your skills available as advisor and mentor. I guess all self-funded startup are understaffed and there are thousands of interesting projects that are in need of your skills. Invest your skills in the projects you believe in and ... good luck.

I would start by identifying where some startups might be working from and volunteer time and effort.  Although it would be best to be physically present, technology allows to contribute remotely.

Check out other companies in the same industry. There are no competitors to you. Educate people what makes you different if not better.

I recently started attending meetups about startups. Using the usual business networking skills, I have started building relationships with VCs, mentors, accelerators, and, of course, entrepreneurs in various stages of their startup journey. Also, look for opportunities to speak at meetups, incubators and accelerators to share what you know and be willing meet with folks to give some knowledge aways. Contributing to a community is always a good way to join it.

All good advice. Help a startup you like and they will help you.

Then you'll have an item for your resume.
