I'm a writer looking to move from one-off writing projects to using my skills as an IT trade press editor to design and refine complete drip campaigns. Any advice for how to get started/skills or alliances needed? Thanks.

I think you need some focus and figure out what you like to do, and does that match up with market needs for lead nurturing campaigns and the content that goes with them.  Focus on the industry segment that you are very knowledgeable regarding, for example, healthcare IT. Then as you gain traction/clients you can branch out to other IT industry verticals. Take some time to show how your experience as an IT trade press editor gives you a competitive edge, media contacts that you can leverage for the media aspect of the inbound lead nurturing campaigns. and valuable writing experience clients can leverage.  It's not just about what you can do and the the skills, experience, and capabilites, but the overall value to bring to your clients.  That is what will work. Once the door opens then you can always branch into other areas that clients needs assistance in. Hope this helps.
