At the moment we are scaling up the engineering team. There are significant resources that will be allocated in order to increase the resources on the engineering department in order to scale up the development efforts.
As we all know, the way you manage and lead engineers is very different with how you lead a marketing team or a business development team.
Taking the points stated previously into consideration, what tech companies do you think serve as a good examples of a really awesome engineering cultures? If you could provide the reason why you think they are worth mentioning that would be very helpful.
Your culture is unique to you - there is no universal "culture" that is better than any others. People bring their own culture with them - unless they are all fresh out of school. You need to make sure that anyone you hire (engineer or not) fits your culture. This is not easy to do - that is why most startups only hire full time people that are key to the core. If engineering is core to your differentiation, then you are stuck on the long road. If it is not, outsource it. It will be infinitely easier and cheaper than than trying to build your own team.
