Where can I find a consultant in Outbound Sales/Cold Calling to train my team?

We are a 100+ person software product company with a heavy off-shore presence.  I am looking to either engage a sales consulting firm or a sales consultant to help evaluate the way we are doing our outbound selling.  We have already read some of the classics like Aaron Ross's book.  Now we need someone to help coach our team and improve our sales structure.  Any ideas where I can find the best resource for finding this type of advisor/consultant?

When I needed to whip an outbound team into shape, I used Rob Edenzon. He is now a parnter at http://salesclinic.com/

He did a very good job and I recommend him.

Thanks for all the feedback! I certainly hope to have a few conversations with various people that responded.  Specifically, I'd love to hear from someone who has guided b2b software companies to help them run outbound sales campaigns off of lead lists using the Aaron Ross method and gotten the 8-10% initial response from the "cold-calling 2.0" he describes in his book?

thanks,

Hi Brian, to be effective in new client generation you will need to have special techniques for cold calling that allows you to get as many first meetings as possible, a well-defined process to attract leads, and a clear strategy on building relationships as well as the right closing techniques. Probably in your business online marketing could also make a difference. I have developed a technique called New Client Formula that I apply as an agent for my clients in the IT and consulting sectors. I also teach and coach my clients on closing mor deals with this approach. You can find more information about me here: www.arminlrau.com or send me a contact request

Hi Brian, I used this method at Zocdoc, and at the last company I started. I would be happy to chat about what has worked and did not work with Ross's method. However, there are some basic issues that need to be handled. I called and talked to one of your salesman this morning. I was never asked my name, what company I work for, or any questions to find my need. I was asked one question "do you have a process you are trying to make better?". The salesman gave me acronyms I was not familiar with, talked about gold and silver plans without explaining what they were, and said that if I was interested I could call back and get a pre sales meeting. He directed me back to the website instead of setting up a meeting, and never asked for my information to enter into your crm. I would be happy to chat about how you can easily increase sales with some basic changes and then implement Ross's methods. I left you a message on your voice mail as well this morning. Cheers, Eliav

The Aaron Ross method / process aligns with my experience (Particularly for training SDRs). You are on the right track.
