Where to find software to menage an international remote team

I have a team of developers spread all over the world. I need a good affordable software to manage these people, tracking hours, tasks, progress, performance plus tools for control of quality and speed and maybe equity calculations.


I know that some platforms exist, but I am not quiet satisfied with those... I would like people to feel as part of the company and not as freelancers doing a temporary work...


Any suggestions? or experience...

Stan, I'm not so sure software is going to manage people & its best to avoid micro-management. The team should be selected carefully where every member understands how their contribution fits in the bigger picture. They need to feel as being part of teh core team

That is correct. But how you make them feel part of the core team (freelancers lose interest at some point), how to keep them interested - that is a question...

You are looking for is managing product. To build a core team its a continuous engagement with team would be my top of the list but there is no single method to define it. Feel free to reach out to me I could share my experiences.

OK couple of questions there.


How do you manage remote work and get the team included? There is no one fits all software, but read up on Buffr, and the tools and techniques they use. (They have an annual company retreat for everyone) How do you make people feel like employees and not freelancers?


Easy.


Hire them. (or at least give them some sort of certainty of income)


You can have fixed term contracts/milestone contracts till a specific job is done. You can go for part-time. You can even offer monthly/weekly retainers.
