Which Asian countries have the most amount of business potential?

October 9th, 2016

Most of the startups get their majority business from western countries (USA, UK, Australia are most prominent). Which Asian countries are giving you the most business or the ones you see that have the biggest potential to tap into?

Clearly China, with India possibly a second, both due to the size of market.

Headed to Asia next month.  Have been traveling there for the past 6 years for business. Your ability to do business in any country depends on the leadership you have there

All of them. Being in Hong Kong you end up in the middle of everything, and it's not a matter of "which country do you do business in" but "what country to you put what part of the business."

The other thing is that Hong Kong is turning itself into a "startup hub." If you set up in HK, you can take a look around you, and then decide which direction you want to go in. A lot depends on what your business is, and what skills you have.

What I (and a lot of other people) are trying to do is to turn HK into a financial center where startup funders and startup founders from all over the world meet to find funding.

Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand & Sri Lanka found to be my best picks. India and China found to be big markets but complicated rules making them hard for total outsiders.
