Who runs the best S-Corp tax prep and bookkeeping in the bay area for consultants?

I'm looking for an agency to handle my taxes and bookkeeping setup (in Xero currently) and get me on a proper payroll tax plan for my sometimes sporadic pay schedule. Looking to automate as much as possible and leave potential for future expansion and hiring. So far everyone I've worked with or talked to doesn't know S-corp taxes well or only take large corporate jobs. Is this hole filled in the marketplace?

Ran into the same thing myself (we're an S Corp).  My original accountant butchered my taxes.

I started using early growth financial services this year, http://earlygrowthfinancialservices.com/ .  They handle my books and taxes now.

They work with a lot of start ups, from bootstrapped early stage to well funded late stage companies.  Ask for Gadiel.

Hi Brian,

I've been really happy with Paycycle (now Intuit Payroll).  It is very easy and cost-effective.  For a CPA firm, I highly recommend Lautze & Lautze.  They have offices in both San Francisco and San Jose.

Best wishes,
Heather

I've used David Slosberg in San Bruno. He's been doing my S Corp taxes for years and is still doing our C Corp taxes now that we've switched. He is kinda hard to get in touch with because he has so many clients. But I guarantee you won't find a more savvy tax accountant in your life. He has saved me well over 100k in the last few years and even though he has some quirks, and he is a little over $1,000 per year, I refuse to go to anyone else. http://www.yelp.com/biz/david-m-slosberg-inc-san-bruno

Your Financial Solutions specializes in providing payroll, tax, and bookkeeping for S-Corp companies. They  have a suite of cloud-based tools and services to help you run your company like the "big guys" while on a start-up budget.  I think that they're great!  They'll help you maximize the tax benefits of the S-Corp structure and help you avoid the pitfalls along the way.  You can contact jones.eric@yourfinancialsolutions.biz for more info.
