About Alan

I am an entrepreneurial senior executive with unique blend of large corporate, scrappy start-up and strategic consulting DNA.

Extensive experience leading product management, operations and corporate development for teams of up to 50 people worldwide. Managed and grew $100 million product line, incubated new business divisions, founded new ventures and restructured existing businesses. Deep expertise in financial services, data and research tools, government forms and filing, localization, online marketplaces, and e-commerce in both B2B and B2C settings. Wharton MBA, Cambridge University BA. US and UK citizen.

I am currently working with a handful of startups in different capacities (BringMeThat, LunchPro, ICON Wheelchairs, Fossil Free Indexes, Clearpath Immigration).

Most recently I was CEO of Clearpath Immigration, a start-up revolutionizing the confusing, costly and paper-based immigration filing process, just as TurboTax transformed tax filing. Prior to that I was a member of the executive team that turned around the business at Dotmenu, the nation’s largest consumer marketplace for online food delivery, culminating in the sale to GrubHub that more than doubled the value of the business in 18 months. I was a co-founder of People Capital, an education finance platform, where he led the development of the lending platform, private-label services and innovative risk analytics for the student marketplace.

In the corporate world, I have extensive experience leading product management, marketing, business development and operations functions. I spent 10+ years in the financial information space as an executive at both Standard & Poor’s and Fitch Ratings. I have also led product management and strategy at WorldPay, a leading electronic payments processor. I began my career as a management consultant with Arthur Andersen and Gemini Consulting, where I worked on many strategic and operational consulting projects across the US, Europe and Africa.
