About Alexis
From a young age, I have been driven to find the smallest ways to make the biggest impacts on poverty and inequality. After realizing NGOs only treat the symptoms, I graduated to social enterprise as a way to alter consumer behavior and engage people where they stand.
I have spent more than 3 years of my life in more than 20 countries, including developed and developing nations, exploring cultures, connecting with people and learning to love the problem. A week in Berlin with the UnSchool Fellows last year introduced me intimately to the refugee crisis in Europe and I had a eureka moment. My knowledge and experience had come together to form the idea that brings me here today.
I have just completed my MSc in Development and International Relations and incorporated REstart into my education in a way that directs our pursuits from a theoretical and practical position.
I'm seeking co-founders (financial, operations, possibly marketing) to join the team. We are two years in and ready to launch, and our team is growing rapidly.
