About Andrew

I've built an agency with proficiencies in the ultra-competitive AdWords auction (and related paid ad spends), and speak & write to a global audience on these kinds of topics. I also co-founded HomeStars, a startup focused primarily on the Canadian market. As member of the Board of Directors of HomeStars for 9 years, I've patiently advised on the areas where I can add value. In the early days the strategic planning, fundraising, and product direction all required a lot of direct input. Today, the growing team has a full plate. HomeStars is EBITDA-positive with several thousand paying listing clients (advertising revenue, essentially) and, therefore, able to pick and choose when it goes for its next funding round and on what terms. As part of the agency's development going forward, we are working behind the scenes on a toolset that will complement existing marketing automation tools in the marketplace, enacting algorithms via the AdWords and Bing Ads API's. We will be using the tools in-house and not releasing them for commercial sale for at least two years.
