About Anthony

Starting in digital in 1995, I founded Netmix.com, the first website to broadcast online mixes submitted by the world's most influential DJ/Producers. After selling the company in 2000 for $3.2M in cash and stock, the parent company failed and we took back control of the domain. I've published a blog at the domain since 2005, but am currently working on developing it into a social contest platform in the music space.

In 2000, I went to work for Cablevision as a Senior Producer managing the development of online music and sports auction websites and iTV application, including an early social music network to support a television program and the first iTV music video service, which became Fuse On Demand. We produced the Communicator Award-winning iTV program, The New York Music Rundown.

In 2005, I joined Entertainment Media Works as the VP of Music Services and developed the most successful platform to date to provide music fans with a contextual commerce engine to identify and purchase products used in music videos. We successfully produced over 80 video projects with major label recording artists including Mary J. Blige, Fergie, Gwen Stefani, Matchbox 20, Lupe Fiaso and more. Our style widgets were integrated into MTV's Buzzworthy Blog and other high profile music oriented websites.

After my work with StarStyle, I worked as a freelance information architect and product manager on over 30 projects including SingularityHub.com, Celebrations.com, Wetseal's Facebook application, and 25 websites for Zaah Technologies, a web development company in Long Island.

With a background in website production, product management and information architect, I have developed site maps and wireframes for over 100 interactive projects of various sizes and complexities.

I founded Digital Strategy Works, a digital strategy agency focused on cross platform development in web, mobile and social and have built a strong expertise in developing on the WordPress CMS platform and have spoken at various WordPress Meetups and WordCamps on SEO, Social Media and Multimedia with WordPress.

In 2010, I was hired by UNC Chapel Hill School of Journalism and Mass Communication to manage the development of online services and technology in the $4M gift-funded, Reese Felts Digital Newsroom.

In 2010, I was hired by a multi-national network marketing company to manage redevelopment of a struggling social music platform. I recently left that company to focus on Digital Strategy Works and Netmix.
