About Tim

I am developing a B2B app for tour operators to enable them to enhance their product offerings to their direct clients. The industry is moving in this direction and with a 2014 launch we can be one of the very first to market - certainly the first in Asia. I have a business plan, specification document and at least two clients ready and waiting to test the application out. Now I need a technical co-founder to help me get it built and launched. I will supply the marketing/sales nous and the industry knowledge/contacts, you'll supply the tech know-how.

I am fairly tech-literate having worked for a travel tech company in the past but lack the skills to build a website/app so this is where you will come in. Need someone hard-working but also easy-going and who would rather have meetings in the pub/cafe than office, and with whom I can connect on a personal as well as professional level. Previous exposure to the tour operations industry would be great but not essential. I am bootstrapping this at least until we get to a minimum viable product and half a dozen clients, at which point I have two potential investors who have already shown interest; so in the first instance I wouldn't ask you to devote 100% of your time to the project but would expect us to agree deliverables and deadlines, following which we will hopefully get the investment/sales required for this to become our day job. I am based in Bangkok and have no plans to relocate - if I do it will be elsewhere in Thailand/SE Asia, so you should definitely be in the region and ideally in Bangkok itself.

There are thousands and thousands of tour operators in the world and I would estimate that less than 0.0001% of them are currently using a product like this - in 3-5 years' time, that figure will be more like 50%, so this is a great opportunity.
