Chathura (aka CJ) is an entrepreneur and a freelance consultant in to Project Management and Quality Assurance (QA) Practices.
Spent most of his career with North American, European and Australian clients; solving their issues in Project Management, Business Automation, Business & Revenue Strategies, QA and Delivery processes. Expert in re-organizing software development and IT related service delivery organizations to get maximum ROI. Investing his free time and excessive knowledge on green or renewable energy related projects is among his hobbies.
Active in the start-up scene since 2008, CJ helped couple of start-ups from Europe and Asia to find new avenues for the revenue generation to convert losses in to profit.
CJ is well versed with crowd funding, logistics, domain monetization, email direct marketing, retail, travel, supply chain management, enterprise resource management, eCommerce and asset management domains.

Worked as the Country Manager (Senior Team Lead) for Sri Lanka. Responsible for key operations executed from Colombo (mentioned below). Setting up an offshore resource pool to manage various software development projects focusing on GMI's application software platform and to provide support services to internal and external clients and managing projects executed from Colombo office and maintaining the expected quality level on the deliverables were among the key responsibilities. Played a major role when drafting a standardize process for the Colombo facility. I started the operations with the support of two developers by 2006 and grew the head count to 30 in 18 months covering 3 product lines, help desk operations and product quality assurance. Implemented an Agile Scrum based software engineering process at the Colombo facility. As a part of productivity enhancement introduced the task based work culture (which criticized by many colleagues but later on adopted by many employers). During the period, Colombo facility was identified as the best offshore engineering facility within the GMI family.
