We are looking for an out-of-the-box and talented back-end programmer.
Red Hen (www.redhen.co) is a new platform where people can research local business/franchise opportunities for sale and then find commercial real estate to house their business. Think of it as taking a Zillow/LoopNet model merged with BizBuySell and then adding more social media features that allow consumers to vote on the brands they want in their town.
Our mission is two fold in solving these two problems:
1. Potential Buyers: "What type of business should I start in my city and where should I put it?" (Understanding likelihood of success, demographics, and best location)
2. Potential Customers: "We need a Subway in our town how do we get one here?" (Allowing consumers to vote and actively take part in building their communities)
There is a disconnect between what consumers want and the businesses people should start within communities. Our goal with RedHen is to inspire people to give their job the bird and to have the confidence and data they need to make sound business decisions.
We are seeking a programmer that can create an API that collects local data on consumer demand, create sales forecasting tools and analytics that show franchisors the towns and areas where their brands are desired, and allows buyers to have more confidence before starting a business.
I have 10 years in Franchise Development and have sold over 700 franchises within multiple franchise systems. I have worked with many top brands about the problems that exist within franchise sales. We have been to Tech-Stars for a day in Boulder, CO and have many mentors. We are a fun and energetic team and we want someone that has passion and vision for taking a corrupt industry and cleaning up.
