About Chris

tl;dr at end...

I pursue interests at the intersection of entrepreneurship, evolving methods and means of learning and collaborating, and exploiting technology to improve how work is accomplished and people and organizations achieve their best outcomes. With both an MBA and a master's degree in Instructional Technology and 15 years of experience consulting in human performance improvement, I started my own independent consulting practice a couple of years ago to create space for experimentation in my life and break out of the corporate billable hours grind. Since January 2013 I've led bike tours, managed pro bono consulting engagements with DC-area nonprofits, advised an EdTech start-up, and also billed many hundreds of hours leading client projects and helping organizations develop and execute business capture initiatives (i.e., proposal management and development).

I want to found or join a startup that disrupts one or more of the traditional means of managing talent (search, acquisition, management, and development of people) and leverages evolving technologies and societal shifts, enabling more people to be productive and happy in the 21st-century work world while also giving organizations a better experience and outcomes from contributors.

tl;dr: successful independent management consultant with background in learning & development seeking innovative approaches to managing 21st century talent.
