About Christine

Christine is the president, owner, and founder of E.B. Howard Consulting, which provides project & program funding development, oversight, and accountability. E.B. Howard Consulting clients’ have a common goal to develop, fund, and implement innovative solutions to social, cultural, or environmental issues. These social entrepreneurs, her clients, include various educational agencies, non-profits, and for-profits entities from around the globe.

Christine has over 10+ years of experience in the development of funding resources, proposal development (e.g. NIH, NSF, SBIR, and more), designing evidence-based projects and activities, monitoring the implementation of those projects, evaluation, and providing feedback for continuous program improvement. As an experienced evaluator, she has extensive experience in advising and working with a variety of technical-focused projects that involve applying operational research theory and methodology; developing logic models; and projects that require applying knowledge of mixed-methods research design and analysis.

Christine is actively involved with Ten Thousand Villages of Western NY (TTV-WNY). She is beginning her second term as board chair (2016 & 2017) and has served as Board Secretary in 2015. TTV-WNY is a non-profit located in Williamsville, NY, is a fair trade retailer of artisan-crafted home decor, personal accessories and gift items from across the globe. Featuring products from more than 130 artisan groups in some 38 countries. TTV has spent more than 60 years cultivating trading relationships in which artisans receive a fair price for their work and consumers have access to distinctive handcrafted items. TTV is a founding member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO). TTV sees fair trade as an alternative approach to conventional international trade.

Since joining National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) – Buffalo/Niagara Chapter in the summer of 2015, Christine has been an active and committed member of the Membership Committee and Board of Directors. NAWBO’s mission is to propel women entrepreneurs into economic, social, and political spheres of influence worldwide.

Christine is also an active member of the Erie County Commission on the Status of Women’s steering committee, “WNY Women Action Coalition” which connects women with the resources they need to reach their full potential and recommends measures to coordinate, consolidate or expand the resources and services available to women in Erie County.

She maintains memberships with the Grant Professionals Association (GPA) and the American Evaluation Association (AEA) the primary professional associations for development professionals in the United States and is an active member of the Amherst Chamber of Commerce, the Western NY Venture Association (WNYVA), the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), and New York State Women, Inc.
