About Dan

ABOUT ME
---------------

My name is Dan - I've been coding for over 20 years and have worked for over a dozen startups both as an employee and contractor in places like Silicon Valley, Vancouver, and New York City. I've been freelancing as a pinch-CTO for the past 4 years.

I'm a comprehensivist with a great sense for how to solve business problems with technology. I'm a Meyers Briggs INTP, an autodidact. I also sing and have worked on a Grammy-nominated album as an audio engineer.

I am very good at building infrastructure, leading teams of technologists, solving problems, keeping priorities focused while encouraging creativity and autonomy in talented collaborators.

ABOUT YOU
------------------------------------

I'm looking for a co-founder with an innate ability to network and build relationships - someone who can both push a business forward and who understands how to *nourish* a business by bringing the right people and resources together. I need someone who takes on projects when they feel that, in that project, they can do their best possible work.

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO BE WORKING ON?
----------------------------

My project is Supply Curve (https://www.supplycurve.com.) Supply Curve combines presale-oriented ecommerce with tools for managing the production of products. When an ecommerce platform is "aware" of what is going on in production, you can coordinate customers, wholesalers, suppliers, and factories in unique ways. Supply Curve combines "crowdfunding" ideas with tools that will help small businesses run better. Executed properly it should be a system that adds up to more than the sum of its parts.

What if inventory could be a thing of the past? What if designers never had to put overstock on-sale for terrible margin? What if they could manage wholesale accounts from the same system used to manage production with sweet, time-saving integration?
