NeonBee is focused on developing Bluetooth Low Energy devices which offer solutions that fit into everyday lifestyles. We are seeking an extremely talented Senior Software Engineer with superb design and implementation skills to join our core engineering team, with an emphasis on building cutting edge low power technology and communication protocols.

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to influence the strategic direction, conception, and implementation of our core technology and new products. The job is ideal for someone with experience in C who is interested in an open-ended challenge and high growth in a startup.

Candidate is expected to demonstrate commitment to learn Bluetooth Low Energy (not Bluetooth Classic), and work within current constraints until the prototype is completed. NeonBee is based in San Jose so the candidate has to be local in the bay area.

Key responsibilities include:
- Architect a user interface that's intuitive and provides a natural user experience.
- Develop firmware architecture
- Lead software development and implementation
- Create and maintain team schedules.
- Write design documentation
- Develop software/firmware in C / C++ that meets requirements
- Architect and implement automated unit test strategy
- Interface with the hardware and test teams to ensure high quality product Requirements

Requirements:

- Bachelors in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Hands-on experience with C, OS-less firmware development
- Familiarity with hardware-software co-design principles
- Embedded firmware development experience using C / C++
- Exposure to digital baseband and RF concepts is a plus.
- Prior Bluetooth Classic or Bluetooth Low power experience is a plus.
