I'm currently transitioning away from the world of big corporate to the world of tech startup.
Doing so meant leaving a cushy job, with big responsibilities and a large team to supervise, to pretty much turning into a very hands-on generalist. I'm proud of the fact that I've managed this transition well.
Today, I feel that I'm being the most productive I've ever been in my professional life.
I get to work with passionate, driven, smart people and I learn something new everyday.
I've recently built a prototype to demonstrate Twilio's voice broadcasting capabilities (the startup I'm involved in is focused on emergency preparedness).
Also, I've helped produce two cloud semantic search apps using Flask, gunicorn and hosted on heroku.
Recruiting inexpensive but great talent is also something I'm proud of as navigating the world of online freelancers is quite something. Lastly, I've also been dipping my toes in the world of business financing and built pro forma models to determine points of break-even (units and revenue).
All in all, I've accomplished a lot in a very compressed timeframe.
