About Dennis

Currently I'm a cofounder of interactive music startup that allows retailers to engage with guests via cloud-based content delivery platform. We bootstrapped for the first year before closing $1.1M from angel investors in September 2011 and another $500k in September 2012. Although my title states finance, I spend most time leading engineering and corporate development. I sourced and closed our most successfully distribution partnership that will lead to >$1M revenue in 2013. And I have direct experience within the music industry while closing several major record label deals.

Prior to this I was consulting for a variety of early-staged and venture backed firms. One project was to write the business model and create financials for a Cambodian rice plantation. This resulted in $25M term sheet from Middle Eastern investors (never completed). I also managed Southeast Asian sales efforts for a systems integrator looking to enter the market, and successfully progressed sales opportunities in Nepal and Vietnam.

I graduated from MIT Sloan, before consulting, and focused on finance and global entrepreneurship. Finance and business development projects enabled me to work with startups in Honduras and Brazil, and my internship was with a sovereign wealth fund in the UAE.

I began my career at Con Edison and realized that corporate behemoths are not my thing. After 8 months I left and joined a startup telecommunications firm. I was the 15th employee and helped the company grow to almost 200 employees and generate over $100M in sales. Along with the high times I experienced getting written off by our parent company, being sold for pennies and integrating with the new business. My formative years were spent in a large scale startup and I have been involved since.
