About Edward

All of my background has been in the manufacturing industry in Detroit, Michigan. After becoming part owner of two different companies, I started my own company which I operated for 10 years.
Although I was involved in all aspects of running the businesses, I spent most of my time in manufacturing supervision and sales management. Sales grew in all three companies at an average of 15% a year, to a maximum of $12M.
During a major slowdown in the automotive industry, I closed down my wholly owned company.

Work Experience

Vice President

G & W Tool & Mfg. Co., Inc

August 1970 - February 1985

Began as a designer of tooling and special machines built at the company. I began developing new sales opportunities for the company such as press automation, standardized tooling components and production for the military. I supervised production and drove the sales for these operations until I left the company.

Vice President

Hi-Tech Tool Industries, Inc

November 1985 - April 1998

The company was established in the year I came on board. It was without any salesperson at the time so I took on that task exclusively. The company provided robotic welding equipment and other tooling to the automotive industry. Sales grew from approx. $1M the first year to over $8M when I left in 1998.

Owner and CEO

Midwest Handling Systems, Inc.

July 1998 - September 2009

I started the company in 1998. The company provided distributors and the automotive industry with material handling equipment such as shipping racks, conveyor equipment and custom designed equipment to move production items on the plant floor. I managed all aspects of the business from sales to designing the product, manufacturing the product and shipping it out the door.
