About Garrett

My senior year at Texas A&M, I worked under the head of the Office of Technology Commercialization's New Ventures group that establishes new businesses based on A&M professors/researchers' innovations and inventions. I was responsible for managing the finances, growing the businesses, conducting market research, facilitating product development and determining price points across a variety of industries: Biotech (acted as CFO for a start-up involved in the treatment of B-cell lymphoma in canines), Agriculture (partnered with an energy crop company looking to expand into turfgrass production), Software (conducted market research and acted as an adjunct salesperson for the implementation of firefighter training software throughout the Emergency Services training industry), among other projects.

I'm currently a first-year analyst in Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Energy Investment Banking group looking to continue to build my technical and strategic business expertise to be applied to a new start-up in the next 2-3 years. As someone without a technical science background, what I am looking for is a fellow entrepreneur--someone with a product or innovation who is driven, motivated and passionate about growing an idea into a successful enterprise. I will provide the business development, accounting, investor relations and financial expertise if they provide the technical expertise. Together I believe this two complementary skill sets will sync well to drive a successful and prosperous new business. Look forward to meeting my future business partner(s) out there!
