I’ve devoted the last 10 years to adapting businesses to market and technology changes, responding to market disruptors, transitioning start-ups into mature businesses or divisions, guiding innovative visions and aligning people, projects, groups and departments to the strategic objectives and initiatives of the business. I've spent the last 5 years, educating executives about leadership and IT departments about technology strategies. I'm here to lend my knowledge and expertise to people looking for technical co-founders and advice on business strategy.
I’m a “full picture”, visionary type-of-guy. No matter what I’m working on I’m thinking about the bigger picture, the full strategy and the commercials necessary to succeed. I don’t only focus on the cool tech that’s involved, as I’m more drawn to the original purpose/reason, the “why”, the problem space. I’m driven to ensuring we’ve got the best possible solution within the constraints and context I’m working in, be those internal or external constraints. I pragmatically balance the risks and commercials necessary, adding automation only where practical; be it necessary legal, regulation or compliance; how to generate revenue and billing; the processes associated with on-boarding and on-going support; civil constraints during an infrastructure rollout in public or cross vendor integrations between the business departments who will be engaged with the client/user long after development and deployment has finished.

Through cdmdotnet Limited (cdm) I've participated in open source, IOT/edge device projects and socially responsible agendas. As a business, cdm focuses on collaboration via open source software and affordable solution designs for low resourced, social initiatives. As a relatively unknown contributor in the market, it also offers me the opportunity to help others who are making socially commendable efforts in the community without taking attention away from those who matter. I'm especially proud of a project in 2014 that leveraged existing, distributed utility company infrastructure and modern technology to create a low-cost, effective advancements in human trafficking and kidnapping following research done on the Madeleine McCann disappearance. It was a unique opportunity to work with aspiring people in the UN contributing my knowledge of architecture and system design, utility company infrastructure, modern IOT edge devices and a pragmatic interception of ideology and practicality.

Working with a cloud (Azure) start-up to mature and transition into a post-start-up phase. Focused on technical and product strategy. Secondary focuses on road-maps and process improvement for quality of service/deliver, client success/support and SLAs.

A role that primarily focuses on technical/architectural and team leadership while, sharing my scrum experience and expertise. As a start-up company, this is a project of calculated risk assessment, balancing getting it done quickly with getting it done perfectly, while managing our levels of technical debt.
