About Ian

Cofounding 150Labs; my cofounders (30yo, 25yo) and I (all programmers w/ product dev backgrounds) spent the last 2 years iterating on a mobile platform for communities that get together to feel more present, building a deeper, more authentic connection (i.e. church groups, cross fit). Happy to flesh out in more detail over a conversation if you're interested.

Our team's current strengths include product development/strategy and programming. We are looking for a talented marketing/business dev (though, open to a designer or programmer if there is a strong fit) individual to help position the product for a seed round in the next 6-8 months. We are all part-time, working remote prior to a seed round and then relocating to Austin/Houston area.

We highly value integrity, are obsessed with building incredible things, and are extremely focused on building our professional careers. We have completed alpha/beta testing (ioS and android) and are in the process of implementing final changes for a tentative October launch date.

We want to work with our best friends and truly believe esprit de corps binds startups together. So, we'd love to get to know you and if we have a good connection socially and ideologically, let's talk partnership possibilities. Please feel free to reach out. Cheers!

Quote

“I think it is important to reason from first principles rather than by analogy. The normal way we conduct our lives is we reason by analogy. We are doing this because it’s like something else that was done or it is like what other people are doing." “A lot of people in our industry haven’t had very diverse experiences. So they don’t have enough dots to connect, and they end up with very linear solutions without a broad perspective on the problem. The broader one’s understanding of the human experience, the better design we will have.” - Elon Musk, Steve Jobs
