About Ingrid

I am an urban/environmental planner and multidisciplinary scientist with over fifteen years of professional experience ranging from decision support of regional planning and environmental management to financial modeling. My research involves applying strategic systems thinking to solve problems that span economic, environmental, and social spheres. My primary area of expertise lies in conducting social science research to support community level decision making through sound analytics, deliberative processes, and heuristic tools. I have been a key contributor to a variety of projects within EPA's Office of Research and Development, earning the EPA Honor Award for her development of GIWiz within EPA's Safe and Healthy Community's program.

I earned a Masters in City Planning along with a Certificate in Environmental Planning from Massachusetts Institute of Technology where I received an M.I.T Energy Initiative Fellowship and was named an M.I.T. Graduate Woman of Excellence for my leadership and service contributions. I also holds a B.A. from University of California, Santa Cruz, where I received Highest Honors in Anthropology and Honors in Environmental Studies.
