About John

Loving technology, food and music, John builds sustainable models having created a global communication platform, a food/retail concept at a $100M Mexico resort, three Chicago restaurants concepts, two live music venues, a clothing company, an artist management & music promotions agency as well as residential and retail real estate development.

In addition to genetic entreprenuerial gumption, John has brought success to the corporate world having managed and turned around two multifaceted corporate food & music concepts - House of Blues San Diego and Yoshi's SF, overseeing 18 managers, 150 staff members and $12M in revenue at each venue.

John's passion of food and technology have resulted in Co-founding a disruptive restaurant model, Lazy Bear, an innovative fine dining communal dinner party concept. Nominated for a James Beard Award and receiving its first Michelin star, Lazy Bear is honored to continue to sell out every seat in advance through beta testing Tock's Ticketing System during the first year of operation at it's brick n mortar loft space in the Mission district of San Francisco, CA, opened September 2014.

Thumbkandi a global instant messaging platform carves its niche with a unique monetization and fan engagement model, installed by users in 133 countries within 30 days of its official launch May, 2015. Thumbkandi has studied the messaging space closely and is excited to change the behavior of fan engagement with its Version 2.0 release launching 2016.
