First time founder
I’m a software systems architect with 15 years of experience in software development.
It’s time for a change. I want to spend my time doing something exciting and impactful where I can blaze new trails with a co-founder. If you can think it, I can build it (or at least prototype it).
I currently hold a full time development position at The University of British Columbia, and have evenings and weekends available to potentially make a go of something.
I’m looking for a local co-founder who needs technical expertise to help bring their idea to life.
What to Co-Found:
I’m open to all ideas, even those that don’t revolve around software.
More About Me:
Throughout my career and side projects, I’ve worked in a variety of environments for both startups and established institutions. I’m accustomed to wearing many hats, and have played roles ranging from lead developer, system administrator and database administrator to purchaser and social media manager.
I’m also well versed in web analytics and digital marketing.
Across my projects, I’ve worked with many technologies and take a polyglot approach to software development. I’m not tied to any particular technology, and believe in using the most appropriate tool for the job.
As a certified Scrum Master, I’m an advocate of Agile development methods and am familiar with Lean startup approaches.
Thanks for reading my writeup and don’t hesitate to contact me with ideas!
