About Jonathan

I've worked inside successful startups for 7 years, and I'm ready to build some ideas of my own. I have a business degree, but I've earned my keep as a developer and designer, most recently as a Front-end Engineer for a startup acquired by Cisco Systems in 2015.

Currently working on:
> A modern learning platform—using the full capabilities of the web—to be deployed in the cloud and on-premise in educational institutions.
> A VR collaborative puzzle game to restore social cohesion for veterans

Work Experience

Front-end Engineer

Cisco Systems

June 2014 - Today

I design and develop polished user experiences for Cisco AMP Threat Grid (company ThreatGRID acquired by Cisco in June 2014). AMP Threat Grid is a threat intelligence and malware analysis platform available in the cloud or in an on-premise hardware appliance. Combining real-time behavioral analysis and up-to-the-minute threat intelligence feeds, Threat Grid protects organizations from both known and unknown network attacks.

UX Developer

Longleaf Solutions

November 2010 - June 2014

Longleaf was a startup in the education space, and has since been acquired by IO Education. There I developed self-evident, accessible, and efficient user experiences from the paper prototype to production. I joined Longleaf at its inception and developed the first prototypes along with founder Michael Williamson. In my work, I also designed all print and digital marketing materials. Remained with the company designing and engineering the production BaselineEdge SaaS for 3+ years.
