I have spent an extensive amount in the logistics and distribution space. My career started with identifying, acquiring and growing companies in Private Equity as an investment professional in a growth equity firm (Cressey). During my MBA and MPAID at Harvard, I did extensive consulting work in Africa. I helped launch a tech platform in East Africa, did deep analysis on the value chain of agriculture in Kenya, and developed a strategy for distribution at a pharmaceutical manufacturing firm in West Africa. I was co-President of the Africa Business Club at HBS and was very active in enhancing the bridge between Africa and Harvard. My capstone thesis in graduate school was on private sector solutions to address the massive impact that long haul trucking inefficiencies has on development in East Africa
I am a native of South Africa and have spent time in 90+ countries (~25 of them in Africa).
