About Kiran

Most recently I have worked for the UK government’s Cabinet Office and Foreign and Commonwealth Office in cyber-crime, operational engagement (public/private) and strategic bi-/multi-lateral partnerships. This included the #WeProtect (Children Online) Summit in which 50+ countries attended, committed to a Statement of Action, new legislation and a new fund led by Unicef were launched. As well as a Ministerial (Letwin) Review of critical infrastructure’s resilience to coastal flooding.

I have also made a difference bringing together and influencing the right people through careers in finance, industry and not-for-profits. Working for JPMorgan Chase, Cazenove, 3i, Lonmin and Brunswick Group amongst others, in Strategy/Business Development, Marketing, Operations and Fundraising/Investor Relations within Telecoms, Media and Technology; Resilience/Infrastructure; Mining/Oil and Gas; Investment Banking/Alternative Investments and Professional Services.

I was commended for ‘Woman of the Year’ in the CyberSecurity Awards 2016 and am finalist for ‘Personal Contribution to IT’ in the Computing Security Awards 2016. I have judged and mentored the CyberSecurity Challenge, Forbes #Under30 Summit’s hackathon and Chicago Booth Business School’s new venture competition. I have participated in international cybersecurity, war, emergency planning and economic games/simulations. I have spoken on cybersecurity, infrastructure, resilience, digital and data at international fora.

Work Experience

Founder

TBC

January 2016 - Today

I am setting up a cybersecurity company to make ‘big player’ (government and enterprise) cybersecurity (managed/‘turnkey’) solutions accessible, affordable and easy-to-use for small and medium businesses, in the UK and globally. By partnering with established names, I will tailor a range of packages that provide ‘best-fit’ between vendor solution and market segment. See description 'About Me' above for summary of the rest of my work experience.
