About Marco

I studied Economics and Management in Europe and started my career by immersing in worldwide travel for business development. Opening new markets kept me curious of foreign experiences and people. I established a grounding interest in culture, diversity and mobility. I landed in New York in 1998, the daydream that became unexpectedly my plan. A conversation about self-expression the digital community surrounding paper notebooks resonated deeply with my creative ideals and appreciation for design. Drawn to the development opportunities and innovation of the brand, I made the move to Moleskine in 2005 to establish the the North American subsidiary and lead the little-known European brand to distinction and success in the Americas and European IPO.
