About Mark

I'm Mark, 29 and originally from Essex however I live in the North East and have done for the last 10 years.

I am currently a Sales and Marketing Director for a successful eLearning firm. My background is very much in SaaS where I have worked for 4 early stage SaaS firms, all of which have been successful and still running or acquired.

I am always interested in new ventures where I can add value. I'd love to hear from anyone with an idea looking to set up their own business and in need of help from a Sales, Marketing or Strategy point of view.

I'm not one for quotes. They're just nicked off the internet in an attempt to look clever. - n/a

As the organisation had out grown their original marketing premise I was appointed to plan and implement a new marketing strategy across all levels of the organisation. Reporting directly to the MD, my role saw me introduce new marketing literature, design and implement three websites, pioneer new marketing ventures such as digital & social media. I also introduced and coordinated monthly newsletters, weekly webinars, and blogs. In addition I managed our PPC & NSEO strategy, wrote whitepapers, case studies, maintained our websites and organised exhibitions. From a PR perspective I targeted journalists and formed solid relationships. I regularly wrote press releases as part of this rule, ensuring TTF received a generous amount of column inches locally (NE Journal & Sunderland Echo) and nationally (Financial Times and The Times).

From July 2011 I operated in a hybrid role at The Test Factory. I spent majority of my time as a Business Development Executive within the Publishing and Education Division in addition to my Marketing & PR duties. During my time within this division I played a pivotal role, helping win clients such as Oxford University Press, City & Guilds, Cengage Learning, Hodder Education & Roseta Stone for The Test Factory. Success in this role saw me promoted in June 2013 to the position of Business Consultant within our Corporate Division
