About Nadeem

I am a judge on the UK Trade & Investment panel for international startups which apply for funding from the UK Government. I am also a judge and mentor at Kings College London on the ‘Lions Den programme’ so have a background in evaluating all types of businesses.

I decided to go ahead with this business idea once I had pitched to my fellow judges and peers as well as few VC’s who have expressed a ‘strong’ interest in funding this idea from seed stage and beyond. I am however planning on funding this myself initially as I already have a successful business which allows me to do so.

Following the positive feedback from a VC, I applied to the FCA Innovation Hub programme whereby they offer support for new Fintech start-ups which they think are innovative and disruptive to the UK market and was accepted very quickly.

Currently I am going through the process of FCA Authorisation with my appointed Compliance Consultant which should hopefully take a few months and allow me to move to the next stage – building the product.

My Fintech business idea is proven concept in another territory, but new to the UK. It has the potential to disrupt a few market players in the area of consumer finance and a Billion pound industry.

I am looking for a full-stack developer who has true grit and perseverance, is comfortable in building scalable products and has a lot of common sense. You will be confident, trusting, hard working and completely committed to this idea and in turn rewarded for all your efforts. I don’t mind if you’re shy or overly confident, but a determination to succeed with skills to match are the main traits I am looking for. A background in financial technology, 'big data' or databases architecture helps considerably.

Thank you for reading my summary and if you are interested I would be happy to chat at anytime.
