Recent accomplishments

I work in the Executive Office of Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the development and implementation of the 17 Global Goals, i.e. the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda that has replaced the Millennium Development Goals in 2016. I worked on the preparation and launch of the Goals in September at the 70th Annual UN General Assembly, where the Goals were officially adopted by all 193 members, as well as their official launch in 2016--where they are now "live".

Background

About Anissa

I work at the UN but it's clear that more and more people with tech skills will be needed to help the international development community advance and work with technology to eliminate poverty in a faster and more effective manner. I'm already learning to code online, but I think getting experience in the tech sector would help me better understand how to develop better products and services for the development community using technology.
