About Yasir

Background: MedTimers is a healthcare startup that has created a patient flow management platform with integrated wait time advertising. The platform is being used by a paying hospital customer to keep track of elapsed times between each stage of a patient visit to their Intake department. As staff members log user visits, real-time wait times get calculated on the fly and hospital administrators are given a variety of means by which they can share wait times with their patients. The ultimate goal of MedTimers is to use data to reduce inefficiencies that contribute to patient wait times and to increase patient satisfaction.

MedTimers is a finalist at the NYU $200K Entrepreneurs Challenge (14 of 249 teams to advance), and won the Audience Pitch award at the final round. We were also featured by Entrepreneur.com, are selected to exhibit at this year's Collision Conference, and is currently demoing to other potential customers (hospitals, medical facilities), including a CBO that is working with over 500 US hospitals, another CBO that works with 3,000 US Hospitals, an urgent center in NYC, and two hospitals in the Tri-State area.

Opportunity: MedTimers is looking to build a talented technical team. We are looking for smart, well-rounded people with technical experience and a desire to learn. Our ideal candidate, in the short term, is comfortable with servers, databases, and backend coding. We currently use Node.js, Angular, and MongoDB, but will be transitioning to MySQL soon. We are also on MEAN stack and hosting on AWS. That said, you DO NOT have to be a pro to get involved; we are excited to meet anyone with relevant skills.

Compensation: Each case is different. We are flexible when it comes to compensation and will reward each team member according to value created. Payment would be cash, equity, or a combination of both, at a level comparable with startups at a similar stage of growth.
