About Ron

My name is Ronald Flores del Rosario. I am an extremely creative person with technical chops; mostly in security engineering such as encryption, Metasploit Open Source Framework, Cloud Security, SSL/TLS, CVE, NIST, PCI-DSS and other boring acronyms. I use bad guy tools to attack systems I manage.

I practice and apply Lean Startup principles in my daily tasks; generate a hypothesis, test it on the field, fail fast, and get feedback. In my security reviews, I aim for the minimum set of features that allows the product or service to be deployed and tested on the field, where it matters, not in a lab. Big Design Up Front (BDUF) kills creativity and project excitement. I stay away from it. I know a little bit of growth hacking too, persona identification, A/B testing, and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) generation. I practice empathy, above all, and favors design thinking.

I love Rapid Prototyping! I use Keynotopia, HTML5, Twitter's Bootstrap, JQuery Mobile, Ruby on Rails, and Heroku PaaS for prototyping web apps. I use Arduino Yun and BeagleBoard for prototyping constrained devices (low power, low memory, etc.) Internet-enabled hardware. Wait, I think its called Internet of Things (IoT)

In general, I am a versatile technology person and an 9-year veteran in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery model of Cloud Computing. I joined Five9 in 2006 progressed through multiple staff capacities and leadership roles across the organization.

If you are building something and you think I can help, let me know. I love Startups. If you just want to connect, please do not hesitate to reach out. I also have tons of crazy ideas but I need a veteran developer to help me build things.
