About Nick

I have substantial experience in high stress problem solving and leadership. My background isn't strictly business, but it is unique and I believe that my project management experience is a significant asset. I take risks to deliver effect and believe in aggressively managing consequence.

I come along with my wife who is a certified HR professional with training and top end management experience in finance and supply management. She is available on a part time basis until we are up and running at which point the intent is for her to join us full time. This works well because HR and Finance issues are small at the start and grow with the company.

We have a project fully conceptualized and roughly business planned. We intend to disrupt the consumer experience and permanently change the way people make large purchases.

We are looking for a Technical collaborator/cofounder who can fully implement the programming and technology required for our project. This person should be able to build enough of the framework independently so that we can have something tangible to shop around for VC. After the initial framework this person should be able to manage the technical team from a technical standpoint. If required I can provide leadership coaching and assistance and all HR issues will be managed by my wife (the true HR pro). In terms of creativity and design, we have laid out the functionality and features required, we are open to input especially from a technical standpoint, but we are also happy to work with a skilled programmer even if they feel like they aren't the conceptualizing type.

In terms of location I am open to working with someone from Canada or the US. Due to my wife's employment I don't have complete freedom of movement at the moment, but am open to travelling. Best case scenario our Cofounder would be able to come to us for the first few months of development as we already have sufficient accommodation and working space. After the initial phase we will need to decide where to locate our HQ team (preferably somewhere nice) and I anticipate myself being on the road working with local partners for implementation and a seriously awesome launch.
