Pharmacist with a passion for tech, music, outdoors, and travel. I <3 data and think we can change the patient experience (which is absolutely terrible) using technology. The healthcare industry is behind the rest of the world by 15+ years. Looking for like-minded folks who want to create something incredible...and make traditional healthcare software seem like Windows 95 (it's actually pretty close to that, anyhow).

My main project is developing a standardized set of documentation codes (SNOMED CT) to standardize pharmacy clinical documentation for implementation into certified Electronic Health Records and third-party health information technology products. The codes will allow patient care plans to be shared via Health Information Exchange (HIE) networks and demonstrate value via quality metric reporting.

Pharmacy Manager, Oncology & Ambulatory Care

August 2013 - February 2016

As Pharmacy Manager for Oncology & Ambulatory Care, I was in charge of pharmacy operations including management of 17 FTEs, our Cancer Center Pharmacy, Medical Office Building Pharmacy, Georgia War Nursing Home, clinical services in 6 outpatient specialty clinics, and revenue cycle management. Accomplishments include revamping the ambulatory pharmacy revenue cycle management process, co-led start-up of specialty pharmacy services across the enterprise on pace to gross $12.0M annually at 50% profit margin, co-led business case to open a new retail pharmacy with projected revenue of $4.7M annually, and negotiated a 6% price decrease for granulocyte-colony stimulating factor purchases with projected savings of $50,000 annually.
