About Sean

Hi, I’m Sean. I’m a software developer. And for the last seven years, I’ve been teaching middle school in Brooklyn, NY. I was accepted into the NYC Teaching Fellows program in 2007. I began my teaching career working with children with Asperger's syndrome and for the past three years I’ve taught technology to 6th, 7th & 8th graders.

I developed a report-writer for Texas school districts and psychologists before I took this seven-year sabbatical to teach. Now I’m developing a new and exciting web-based tool for education that will change the way students, teachers, parents & professional staff - psychologists, therapists, etc., manage, communicate, plan and succeed as members of a school community.

Our community still needs easy-to-use, intuitive, collaborative software. In a typical week, I use at least six different applications - which, by the way, don’t interact with each other. And worse, individually they aren’t particularly great at the one thing they’re designed to do!

Education Technology (EdTech) is a multi-billion market. That’s an excellent reason to develop in that space, but I have domain expertise in education, with hands-on, inside knowledge about the problems, both large & small, educators, parents and students face every day. I have the technical skills and background to know how to best leverage technology to solve these problems, and that’s exactly why I’ve started this company.

My future partner is someone who has the drive to create high-quality, valuable solutions. I’m looking to build a great team. I’m looking for a co-founder with a strong technical background - our application is a rails app. I’m also interested in a financial partner with keen insight, experience and knowledge. If you have questions, please ask me. If you are interested in starting something with true potential in an exciting market, and think we’d be a good fit, let’s talk and discuss this further.
