About Stephen

I am an engineer by education but I have found my niche in the start-up, business development and sales environment.

I am looking for an opportunity to apply my engineering mindset and business acumen to positions in the business development, sales or business strategy field. I believe there is a certain logic an individual with an engineering background can bring to the business division of a company.

Professionally, I have experience working directly with C-level executives at a start-up wind turbine company. I serve there in the commercial division as a Project Manager and Technical Liaison. I am able to use my engineering background and problem solving skills on a variety of projects, including sales plan development, potential investor presentations, database creation, and renewable energy subsidy project management.

I am also founder and Partner of Berkshire Planning Group, a public relations, marketing, and web design company. I also serve as a Commissioner of Economic Development and as a Commissioner of Conservation in Torrington, Connecticut. I was appointed to these positions by the Mayor of Torrington after I aggressively ran for Torrington City Council. I am also involved in leadership roles of various organizations, including Vice President of Finance for the Northwest Connecticut Young Democrats.

I was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree, Magna Cum Laude, in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University. After Northeastern, I took post-bachelor courses in Industrial Management at KU Leuven, Belgium.

I am highly interested in the renewable energy fields, but also in any technical fields in which I can use my technical mindset.
