About Steve

At Booz Allen I have progressively grown and built numerous consulting service and solution businesses in the Commercial, Civil, Defense and National Security (Intelligence Community) markets and in multiple locations that we serve. I have worked and overseen hundreds of client engagements to include retrofitting aircraft platforms to perform recon & search & rescue missions, co-architected the NextGen Air Transportation System for FAA/NASA, led the analysis of requirements for the transformation of the National System for Geospatial Intelligence, worked concepts for USAID workers to better leverage imagery and maps to allocate relief funding, helped two R&D organizations transfer technology into operations and improve investment allocations, and built teams to consult to the CIOs of each major Intelligence organization to name just a few of my personal outcomes. I know how to navigate and help others in a fairly flat organization by providing mentorship and leadership without having control, as evidenced by building a 350-person community of highly matrixed analysts, designers, architects and engineers. Most importantly I knows how to create leaders who can take things forward in their own way. I have achieved much of my success by mentoring, positioning, promoting and hiring dozens of senior managers across 10 different geographic locations. I know how to quickly engage with a local culture and help deliver results as evidenced by 12 years of client engagement across the commercial and government sectors.

Prior to management consulting, I worked in the original dot-com heyday building technology recruiting capabilities (techies.com), was a designer of core internet services for a local college, and was an independent television and new media producer.
