About Supriya

I am seeking a cofounder to join my startup.

What drove me to do my own startup?
I spent 5 years working as an engineer and as a product manager, and learned a lot about myself and my interests and passions. I realized that spending most of my time in building someone else's vision is not motivating me enough to keep pushing myself everyday to learn and innovate. It was essential for me to work on things where I can define and shape the vision. Doing my own startup was an obvious choice also because I had interest in building products from scratch and running a business.

What is my startup about?
It is an online service to connect stylists with consumers based on their personal needs. We can discuss this in detail if you are interested in taking this further.

What stage is my startup at?
I have launched one side of the marketplace in the appstore i.e. for stylists to add their business details. Currently working on launching the client side.

Why am I looking for a cofounder?
As you might know that running a startup is a lot of work. I will love to do all the work that is needed to launch this product because it will also be a great learning experience for me but it will also slow things down if I do everything myself. Also with the expertise of the cofounder (which if complements well with my skill set), will play a big role in shaping the future of the company.

What am I looking for in my cofounder?
I am looking for a cofounder who is as passionate as me in building a viable business and in doing whatever it takes to make this a successful joint venture. It will be nice to have a cofounder who has some technical background just because it will accelerate the process of building the product and improving it iteratively as we collect more feedback. I am looking for a cofounder who can give his/her full-time commitment to this startup - running a business is a lot of work and is difficult to do on a part-time basis. But I am totally fine if you will like to spend the first couple of weeks working with me on a part-time basis (with the intention of joining this startup full-time) so that we both get some time to figure out if we are the right fit for each other.
