About Tyler James

After more than 15 years in IT, I've been highly successful in many different roles - engineering, product, sales, and leadership to name a few. My real passion, as evidenced by my 24+ patents and MBA in entrepreneurship (I graduated near the top of my class with a 3.92 from a top 12 nationally ranked PMBA program btw) is to build something, but the timing wasn't right - until now. Over the last 9 years, I've saved up enough capital to get started while still supporting my family. I'm looking for a passionate, talented technical talent to help develop an MVP for a cloud computing startup in tools and hybrid orchestration, and or multi-sided exchanges. My recent history leading a $500+M product line at Rackspace for VMware managed services makes me an ideal partner in this space. I've got the financial, sales, and marketing prowess to pull it off, but even though I've done programming in the past, I need help on the technical side. An Ideal partner is one who has deep experience with cloud APIs including AWS and Openstack, experience with Cassandra (or other scale-able nosql like Riak), and grounding in IT security tools for the cloud as well. I want to go big: There's opportunity to disrupt even the likes of AWS and Microsoft with creative tech and a disruptive business model. I want a partner in the ATL metro as well; I'm big on f2f for founders especially. If this sound like something you're interested in, let's talk!

Take risks. Ask big questions. Don't be afraid to make mistakes; if you don't make mistakes, you're not reaching far enough. - David Packard
