First time founder
I bring a diversity of experiences to the table, from my graduate research in Artificial Intelligence, to my teaching experience as a Course Instructor at the University of Toronto, to my legal background. Most recently, I've specialized in intellectual property law, with a particular focus on the prosecution of software and hardware patents for clients such as BlackBerry and Samsung.
I believe big changes are coming to the legal industry and I have the vision and the passion to be at the forefront of this movement. I would like to help modernize the industry by building tools that increase productivity of certain key tasks, such as legal research; I would also like to introduce new business models that better reflect the modern realities of the legal profession, such as the growing need for on-demand and on-shore legal work.
I founded Legalicity over a year ago and since then have built the product into a great legal research tool for lawyers and law students. My goal is to expand aggressively in 2017, so if you're interested in being part of a growing legal tech startup feel free to drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org. I've been working with programmers on a freelance basis, but I'm open to taking on more permanent team members, particularly web developers and marketers/business specialists.
