I know I need someone to help me build this business, have some idea of what I'm looking for in that person, but I'm having a hard time figuring out the best way to connect with that person. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Patrick - I've owned 2 businesses for over 20 years both of which required partners at the beginning. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have to find a partner.

well Patrick it all depends on the business that you want to build, it becomes easier to connect with the person you want if he or she know what business you are into, then they can easily reach out to you. for example i am a buyer by profession, i have outstanding buying, negotiation and selling skills, moreover i consider my self to be one of the best inventory manager in the business world

Finding co-founder is like finding partner, Although you may not stay together for whole of life but you have to stay together till you both make the company self sustainable. So there is no trick in finding one, you can just review profiles and ask for help by pitching them if anyone by your luck and business potential shows interest then great. I feel if you are making any company just don't search for partner instead search for hr. first ask him to search co-founder and employees working in certain technologies.
